2025 Grammys: Beyoncé Sets Record with 11 Nominations, Reaches 99 Total

Beyoncé Knowles has once again made Grammy history, leading the 2025 nominations with an impressive 11 nods, including Album of the Year, bringing her career total to a record-breaking 99 Grammy nominations. This achievement makes her the most nominated artist in Grammy history, surpassing her husband, Jay-Z, who has 88 nominations. Known as the Grammy queen, Beyoncé already holds the title for the most Grammy wins, with 32 awards.

Her eighth studio album, *Cowboy Carter*, dominated the nominations, with seven of its tracks recognized across multiple categories. This year’s Album of the Year contenders also include first-time nominees Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Charli XCX, along with Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Andre 3000, and Jacob Collier.

Carpenter and Roan scored big with nominations across all “Big Four” categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist. Country newcomer Shaboozey also had a breakthrough year, landing five nominations, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for his hit, “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

Kendrick Lamar’s year continues to soar, with his track “Not Like Us,” a Drake diss, securing nominations for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. He received seven nominations in total and will follow the Grammys with a performance as the Super Bowl halftime headliner.

Trailing Beyoncé, Charli XCX, Post Malone, and Billie Eilish each earned seven nominations, while Taylor Swift received six. The Grammy ceremony will take place on February 2 at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles.

For the first time in her career, Beyoncé scored nominations in the country and American roots categories, with tracks “Texas Hold ’Em” and “16 Carriages” up for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. Her duet with Miley Cyrus, “II Most Wanted,” is nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, showcasing Beyoncé’s genre versatility.
