Three policemen have been shot dead by unknown gunmen at a Police checkpoint in Agu Eze amaogudu, Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The dead policemen have been identified as Inspector Austin Ugwu, Inspector Longinus Ugochukwu and PC Ama Ifeanyi.
Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, the deputy Governor of Abia State, who visited the community, assurred them of protection and called for community vigilance and support to security agents.
