Super Eagles Striker, Onuachu Recovers From COVID-19

Super Eagles and Belgian club, KRC Genk striker, Paul Onuachu, has fully recovered and has now tested negative one week after testing positive.

 

His recovery was confirmed by Onuachu’s Belgian club, KRC Genk. According to them, he can now resume training with the rest of the squad on Friday, having been placed in isolation in the past days.

 

“On Friday, he will just train with the group,” Hannes Wolf, Genk’s manager said.”

“Paul can also compete against Excelsior on Friday in the exhibition match.”

 

Onuachu tested positive on his arrival in Belgium from Nigeria. However, before getting the clean bill of health to reunite with his teammates, Onuachu tested negative to COVID-19 in the three tests conducted on him altogether.

 

Onuachu scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 29 appearances in all competitions in his first season at the Belgian club. He joined Genk from Danish club, FC Midtjylland for €6m in 2019.
