Ambassadorial portfolios of ex-service chiefs can’t stop ICC prosecution—PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party has slammed lawmakers of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the Senate for clearing the former service chiefs for ambassadorial portfolios.
The PDP in a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the APC leadership in the Senate cleared the former service chiefs “despite reports of crime against humanity committed under their command.”
However, the party insisted that the clearance will not stop the investigation and possible prosecution of the accused commanders by the International Criminal Court for crime against humanity, saying preliminary steps have already commenced by the ICC.
