Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie disclosed she parted ways with Brad Pitt for the “wellbeing of her family” as she continues to “focus on the their healing”.
The Hollywood actress said, it was the “right decision” to end the union after more than two years and she went ahead to praise her children describing them as “six very brave, very strong people”.
In an interview with Vogue Global Network, she said “Some have taken the advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds”.
“The part of us that is free, wild, open, curious can get shut down by life. By pain or by harm. My children know my true self, and they have helped me to find it again and to embrace it,” she said.
“They have been through a lot. I learn from their strength. As parents, we encourage our kids to embrace all that they are and all that they know in their hearts to be right, and they look back at us and want the same for us.”
She also went on to talk about how beautiful and amazing it was for her to be the mother of adopted kids.
said they must “never lose touch of where they come from”, and added that they must “honour” their backgrounds and “learn from them”.
