The assistant commissioner of police, Borno State command, ACP Egbe Edum has been killed by yet to be identified men in Calabar, the cross Rivers State Capital.
ACP Edum was on his way to visit his family who reside in Calabar from Borno State where he served when the sad incident occurred.
Confirming the incident, the Cross River State Police command spokesperson DSP Irene Ugbe revealed that the incident took place on the 2nd of December, 2020 at about 1:00am along Murtala Mohammed highway.
Meanwhile the police command in Cross Rivers State has assured the public of a proper investigation into the murder.
