Brazil which is presently the second most hit country in the world by the Covid19 pandemic with 340,000 + confirmed cases following the US has reported over 16,000 new infections in the last 24hrs. CNN reports.
After the World Health Organisation declared South America as the epicenter of the novel coronavirus with Brazil having the highest cases, the country had since then been at the forefront of the global health crisis.
Hospitals in Brazil have decried been overwhelmed by the surge in cases and health officials have expressed worries that the country is most likely a week or less away from getting to its peak of the pandemic.
