A Federal High Court In Lagos has ordered the release of Ex Abia Governor, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu from the Kuje Correctional in FCT.
The order was pronounced on Tuesday morning by Jutice Mohammed Liman after an application filed by Kalu was heard in the court room.
The accused prayed the court to set aside his conviction on December 5, 2019 by Justice Mohammed Idris explaining that his request was necessary following the Supreme Court verdict delivered on May 8, 2020 which held that Justice Idris gave the judgment without jurisdiction.
