Daniel Regha Urges Dangote Refinery to Reduce Fuel Price to ₦300
Social media influencer Daniel Regha has called on the Dangote Refinery to lower its petrol price to a maximum of ₦300 per liter, arguing that the move would show appreciation to Nigerians for their support.
Regha made this statement on Sunday via his verified X account, in response to reports that the refinery had reduced its fuel price to ₦970 per liter.
He criticized the current price adjustment, asserting that it “changes nothing” and only reinforces the perception that the refinery is focused on profit-making rather than easing the burden on Nigerians.
“Dangote Refinery should reduce their petrol price to ₦300 maximum if they want to repay or thank Nigerians for their support. ₦970 per liter is on the high side, literally changes nothing, and shows that it’s all about making profit,” Regha stated.
The comments have sparked a debate online, with some supporting Regha’s stance and others highlighting the challenges involved in pricing decisions within the oil industry.
