Informant Linked to The Capture and Death of Ikonso Don(ESN Commander) Shot Dead By Unknown Gunmen

A middle-aged man suspected an informants of the Nigerian Army and also responsible the death of Ikonso Don, the late commander of the Indigenous People of Biafra’s Eastern Security Network (ESN), has been killed by unknown gunmen.

The victim, whose name is yet to be ascertained, was gunned down in a village between Imo and Anambra state where he was believed to have been hiding.

The victim was shot dead along a rural footpath by the gunmen who hurriedly fled the scene of the crime.

According to some persons who preferred to stay anonymous, they said the dead informant was also a member of the ESN while others believed he was a former IPOB member who renounced his membership and came to the village to hide.

“The victim was believed  to have played the role of an informant to the military and the police which was highly useful in getting the location of Ikonso’s and ultimately his death.
