Armed men suspected to be bandits attacked the convoy of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Saturday, 20th March.
The incident happened at Tyo Mu along Makurdi/Gboko road around noon.
According to reports, the Governor was on his way to Makurdi when the gunmen opened fire on his convoy but were repelled by his security men.
