Thugs armed with cutlasses and weapons invaded the protest venue at Berger junction about an hour after the #EndSARS protesters had convened.
They attacked the protesters, including passers-by, destroying vehicles parked in the area.
More than six cars were destroyed at the scene, while an unconfirmed number of the protesters sustained injuries.
However, during the attack, the youths gathered up and fought them back, two of the thugs were severely injured.
According to reports all the thugs who came to attack have been arrested while some of them who got injured during the attacks have been rushed to the hospital.
