The American boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather has waned in on the case of the police brutality which led to the death of George Floyd some 8 days ago. A development which has triggered a nationwide protest across the US as the citizens relentlessly call for justice.
Mayweather offered to cover the funeral expenses of the George Floyd which is to take place in a few days.
The former five-division world champion’s promotional company, Mayweather Promotions, confirmed on Twitter he had made the offer, and several local media reports have said the family have accepted.
Mayweather also paid for the funerals of Genaro Hernandez, his former opponent, and the legendary Joe Frazier in 2011.
