N200m Challenge: Otedola, Obi Cubana, Others Gift Davido Millions ahead of his Birthday

Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola and billionaire socialite, Obi Iyiegbu a.k.a Obi Cubana, have gifted pop star, David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido millions ahead of his 29th birthday on November 21.

Popular musician Davido who is currently in Dubai, challenged his friends to send him N1 million,  he stated that he has always been the one lifting others and now he wanted them to return the favour.

He went ahead to state that if he has given you a hit song before, send 1million you know yourselves.

Within the first 10 minutes of announcing the challenge on his Instagram stories, the pop star received N7million and went on to say that the goal was N100million.

“I wan clear my Rolls Royce from port abeg,” he wrote, adding the ‘laughing with tears’ emoji.

While he continued to post screenshots of his N1million alerts from close friends and colleagues, he also mentioned Femi Otedola and Obi Cubana without stating how much they both sent to him.

“@Obi_Cubana haaaaaa!!!! Baba don finish me!!!! Love u baba, he wrote, “@Femiotedola FO!!! This one no be alert, na alarm,” he wrote in another slide, insinuating that the billionaires may have sent him more ‘loaded’ sums.

Several other persons including Naira Marley, Zlatan, MC Galaxy who sent 3million, Big Brother Naija stars Nengi, Dorathy, Neo, Toke Makinwa, Tiwa savage and her son sent him a cash gift even a fan who met up at a mall in Dubai sent 1.6Million.

Travel company, Travel Beta, and also Munch It for which he is an ambassador, some Club he patronizes;  were also not left out of the challenge as called them out in a video he posted on his Instagram page. Travel Beta has sent him 2Million and Munch it 1 Million.

Other celebrities who have sent him money today include Tundeednut, Larrygaaga, Peruzzi, Poco Lee, Falz.

the sum had amounted to N171 million, with Davido announcing that the target has now moved to N200million.

The challenge which seemed to have started as a joke has now taken over the internet as Davido is trending number 1 on Twitter, drawing up various reactions from Nigerians.
