Nigerian music star Ayra Starr, born Sarah Aderibigbe, has opened up about her spiritual journey—and it’s not your typical religious story.

During a recent livestream with TikToker Jarvis, the singer shared that her biggest spiritual goal is simple but powerful: to be as perfect as Jesus. However, she made it clear that her faith isn’t boxed into traditional religion.

According to Ayra, her relationship with God goes beyond church walls. She described herself as deeply spiritual, explaining that her connection with God and the Holy Spirit is personal and guided by what works for her.

“I’m trying to be as perfect as Jesus. I have a close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit—it’s not just about being in church. God says, ‘let it be unto you according to your faith,’ and I’ve found what works for me,” she said.

The “Rush” hitmaker also added that while this mindset fits her current phase of life, she remains open to evolving spiritually in the future.

And it’s not just her faith that’s growing—her career is too. Ayra revealed she’s stepping into the film industry, sharing that she started acting last year and is preparing to drop her debut movie later this year.
