No part of her body was mutilated – Lagos Commissioner of Police counters Bamise’s sister’s claim that her private part was harvested

The Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has denied reports claiming that some parts of 22-year-old Bamise Ayanwole, who was abducted and murdered after taking a ride on a BRT bus, were mutilated.

 

During the press conference which held in Lagos, Titilayo who cried uncontrollably said Bamise died in pain and claimed that Bamise’s private part was mutilated by those who attacked her. However, the commisioner of police in a statement share earlier, said police officers and family members of the victim were all at the mortuary, and there was no part of the victiim’s body that was mutilated.

 

Titilayo said;

”My name is Ayanwole Oluwadamilola Titilayo. I am the senuor sister to Bamise that the Nigerian government killed. They made her to suffer life. They removed her private part, They did not kill her. She suffered the pains, hell on earth before she moved to her ‘destination’. She force her to stop at the busstop which she is not supposed to stop.”

 

Titilayo described Bamise, who is the last born of their mum and dad, as a likable person who made many smile.

However, while speaking to newsmen today March 8, CP Alabi denied the claim. According to him, he was at the mortuary alongside some members of late Bamise’s family and there was no evidence to show that any part of her body was mutilated.

 

The CP also stated that it has not yet been confirmed if she was raped. He said an autopsy will be conducted on her soon.
