Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has inaugurated the South-West security network known as Operation Amotekun.
At the inauguration of the security outfit in Akure, the state capital, on Tuesday, Akeredolu stressed that with a workable synergy among the leadership of the security agencies and that of Amotekun, a water-tight strategy capable of arresting crimes even before they occur would be deployed.
The governor also reassured the people that the forthcoming election in the state would be very peaceful, adding that his government will not tolerate any form of criminality occasioned by elections.
It was reported that over 192 corps were recruited in the newly security network agency.
