Portable Challenges VeryDarkMan Over Alleged ₦180m NGO Fraud
Nigerian singer Portable has issued a fiery challenge to social media personality VeryDarkMan, accusing him of stealing ₦180 million meant for an NGO and threatening to wrestle him in the ring.
This confrontation comes after VeryDarkMan alleged that hackers had stolen ₦180 million from his NGO’s website, leaving only ₦20 million intact. In a dramatic video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Portable brandished a wrestling belt and labeled VeryDarkMan a thief, demanding accountability.
Portable called for a public showdown, stating:
“If you don’t return the stolen NGO money, don’t step foot in Lagos or Abuja. We’ll fight you. A thief is a thief, and a friend of a thief is also a thief. Rich men contributed about ₦180 million for orphans, and you spent it!”
The singer further accused VeryDarkMan of mismanaging the funds, saying:
“You claim to fight for justice for Nigerians, but it’s all for personal gain. I’ve never received ₦100 million, yet I still help my community by distributing food and fixing roads and streetlights. But you— you spent the NGO money in clubs. Bad person!”
The video has sparked heated reactions online, with users flooding the comment section to share their opinions.
This controversy follows VeryDarkMan’s earlier claim that his NGO’s website was hacked, leading to the alleged loss of funds. Portable’s dramatic accusations have further escalated the situation, fueling debates on social media.
