The Presidency has ordered the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA) Hadiza Bala Usman to step down from her role following an Administrative Panel of Inquiry set up by the Ministry of Transportation headed by Rotimi Amaechi to investigate the management of the NPA.
This was stated in a series of tweet made by the Senior Special Assistant of President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Garba Shehu on Thursday.
According to his report, the investigative panel is to be chaired by the Director, Maritime Services of the Ministry while the Deputy Director, Legal of the same Ministry will serve as the secretary of the panel.
Hadiza will be replaced by Mr Mohammed Bello-Koko, an Executive Director at the NPA pending the conclusion of the investigation, Garba stated.
