An elderly woman has been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command for reportedly selling her seven-year-old granddaughter as a sex slave to numerous men for a paltry sum of N1500.
The grandma was originally apprehended by Ugwuagor vigilantes in the Abakpa community of Enugu East Local Government Area.
The victim told the vigilantes how her grandma had sent her to numerous men who had carnal knowledge of her.
A male suspect from Calabar, Cross River State, named Miracle who was one of those who had sexually abused the little girl, was apprehended by the Enugu state police.
Other abusers are however still at large as a continued search for them is currently ongoing by the police force.
“This brother, (referring to Mr. Miracle) if I come to his shop, he will insert his private part in my body. He does this almost every day with the knowledge of my grandmother.
“There’s another brother I don’t know where he lives, after putting his private part in my body yesterday, he gave my grandmother N1,500,” the little girl narrated amidst tears.
According to the victim, her biological mother lives in Lagos.
Currently, the case is being investigated by the Abakpa Police Station Division. The Divisional Officer, has also assured Nigerians that further actions will be taken once their investigation is completed.
