South Africa Now Has More Than 200,000 Coronavirus Cases
Over the past few weeks there has been thousands of new coronavirus cases reported in South Africa on daily basis resulting to an over 200, 000 confirmed cases of Covid19 in the country.
A total of 8,791 news cases were registered on Monday, 6th July bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 205,721.
The SA Ministry of Health says a bigger surge could have been experienced if the country had not gone into a nationwide lockdown.
Also reported was 111 new deaths from Covid19, making the total number of fatalities 3,310, while the number of recoveries stands at 97,848.
However, the country is in the process of easing restrictions in phases with the latest being the reopening of schools for more students within the week.
