Super Eagles Threw Away 4 Goals Lead Against Sierra Leone To End In A 4-4 Draw
Nigeria’s Super Eagles threw away a 4-0 lead to Sierra Leone to end the game at 4-4 in an AFCON qualifier on Friday.
The game started with Nigeria being the better side in the first half, thumping 4 goals into the back of the Sierra Leone’s goal post.
Goals from Iwobi, Osimhen and Chukweze looked liked it was all sealed for Nigeria in the first half.
But, Sierra Leone side were better in the second half, coming from behind to get a 4-4 draw and earn them a point in the group’s table.
Nigeria still sit top of the table of group L with 7 points, while Benin with 3, Sierra Leone with 2 and Lesotho with 1 point sitting at the bottom of the table.
