Suspected Killer Of Air Force Officer, Tolulope Arotile Charged With Culpable Homicide
A Magistrate Court sitting in Kaduna State, presided by Justice Benjamin Hassan, has charged Nehemiah Adejor, the alleged killer of Tolulope Arotile with culpable homicide and criminal conspiracy but not punishable by death.
The second and third suspects, Folorunsho Igbekele Faith and Gbayegun Deji, were discharged after the prosecution counsel, DSP Martins D. Leo, prayed the court to discharge them as their investigation did not find them wanting.
Nehemiah Adejor,the first suspect, drove the car that killed Nigeria’s first female helicopter fighter pilot on July 14, 2020. While Folorunsho Igbekele Faith and Gbayegun Deji were passengers in the vehicle that was driven by Nehemiah.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Muhammad Jalige, based on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecution, the 1st suspect, Nehemiah Adejor is going to be arraigned at the State High Court for culpable homicide not punishable with death on the 3rd of September, 2020.
According to the the legal advice, the 1st suspect sited the deceased (Flying officer Tolulope Arotile) at NAF Base Kawo, Kaduna, whom they identified as their school mate at Air force Secondary school, Kaduna.
The 1st suspect, full of enthusiasm, recklessly reversed the car in order to meet the deceased and in the process ran over her consequent upon which the deceased lay unconsciously on the ground. The deceased was rushed to NAFX64 Base Hospitàl-for- medical attention but was later pronounced dead by the medical doctors at the Hospital.
