Woman Accused of Witchcraft And Allegedly Caged For Three Years By Her Husband (See photos)

A mother of eight simply identified as Gladys has been rescued and taken to hospital by human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, and his team, Behind Bars Initiative, after being accused of witchcraft and allegedly caged in her home in Orerokpe in Delta state for 3 years.

 

According to Harrison, the woman is originally from Ozoro in Delta state but got married to a man from Orerokpe. After many years of marriage, the husband and his family members, accused the lady of being a witch and threw her into a cage they built in his compound.

 

Despite being left in the cage to die, the husband still visited the cage to have sex with her as a result, she had three of their children while she was in the cage.

 

Harrison revealed that he learnt of the woman’s deplorable state on Monday, November 16 and they arrived in Orerokpe Tuesday morning November 17. He added that they have moved the lady to the General Hospital in Orerokpe for treatment.
