Zenith Bank Strengthens Leadership with Appointment of Kennedy Okwudili as Executive Director

Zenith Bank Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Kennedy Onuwa Okwudili as an Executive Director, effective May 1, 2026. This strategic move reflects the bank’s longstanding commitment to internal talent development and succession planning, further reinforcing the strength of its Executive Management team.

Mr. Okwudili holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting (Second Class Upper Division) from University of Maiduguri (1998), an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University (2008), and a Master of Science in Accounting from Veritas University (2021).

With over 25 years of extensive banking experience, he has built expertise across key areas including credit and marketing, treasury, compliance, and operations, having served in various capacities across multiple regions within the bank.

A highly accomplished professional, Mr. Okwudili is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (2013) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (2024), as well as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (2016).

He has also completed several prestigious executive education programmes, including the Senior Leadership Development Programme at Lagos Business School, the Corporate Directorship Programme at Harvard Business School, and the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School.

Currently, he serves as President of the Catholic Bankers Association of Nigeria and is a member of the Noble Order of the Knights of St. John International.
