#EndSARS: Governor Obiano To Release All Illegal Detainees In SARS Cells; Prosecute Former Awkuzu OC

Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano said that all illegal detainees in various SARS formations in the state will be released.

He also added that former Awkuzu SARS Commander, James Nwafor will be relieved of his political appointment and recommended for immediate prosecution, along with other SARS officials that abused their offices.

Recall that Nwafor, who served as commander of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Awkuzu, Anambra State has been accused of atrocious acts, extra-judicial killings and human rights violations.

The Governor revealed this on Thursday, October 15th, 2020, while addressing the #ENDSARS protesters at the Government House, Awka.
