The Senate has confirmed Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission for a second term of five years.
This is following the consideration of a report of the Senate Committee on INEC which recommended Yakubu for confirmation.
Speaking before his confirmation today, the senators described him as highly qualified for the job.
