Unconfirmed reports making rounds on Social media reveals that the Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Isa-Ali Ibrahim Pantami has been placed on America’s watch list of persons with ties to Boko Haram and Al-Qeada.
Daily Independent Newspaper reports that there’s an allegation that the Minister has fallen on the watch list of the America’s Intelligent Service.
Prior to his appointment as a Minister, Ibrahim was a well known Islamic preacher and held some “unpopular” views against the US Government regarding the Al-Qeada insurgency.
Ibrahim was reportedly in close ties with late Mohammed Yusuf, the deceased leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group with whom he was said to have shared jihadist doctrines with.
The Western intelligence reports that the Minister also has a close connection with Abu Quatada al Falasimi and other Al-Qeada leaders that he revered and made positive remarks of them in several of his Youtube videos.

Efforts to get the reactions of the minister to the critical allegations were futile as at press time.
However, one of his aides (names withheld) said the allegations were false.
The aide, who was very combative while speaking with newsmen, was angry that the story would be published.
“You didn’t tell me you want to publish the story when you introduced yourself. In the first place, you did not address the Office of the Honourable Minister properly, he argued.
“This is a personal attack on somebody’s personal belief and religion.
“This allegation is not coming from the American government, but one useless organisation. I am a journalist myself,” said the aide.
