The Sultan of Sokoto, Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, has directed Muslims in Nigeria to pray at home with their families on Sallah day ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr Muslim festival.
This development was necessitated as a result of the high risk posed by mass gatherings due to the deadly Covid-19, pandemic.
The Eid-el-Fitr religious prayers has been suspended as a measure to contain and curtail the possible spread of coronavirus in the country.
