The federal government has approved the reopening of unity schools across Nigeria on October 11 following the agitation for the resumption of learning institutions across the country.
This was disclosed by the minister of education, Adamu Adamu in a letter he signed on Wednesday, September 30.
According to Adamu,unity schools would be reopened on October 11 and the approval is for junior and senior secondary schools.
He also noted that schools that are yet to concluded their 2nd term examination should round off and immediately start 3rd term in order to complete their academic session which will end in December.
The education minister advised that COVID-19 protocols should be strictly observed in the schools to prevent spread among students.
