Mr Ferdinand Nwonye of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has divulged in a statement let out today being June 23 of the President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo speaking with President Muhammadu Buhari on the phone and apologizing over the demolishing of the Nigerian Embassy in Accra Ghana.
In his statement He said, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform that the President of Ghana called President Buhari today June 23, on the phone expressing his sincere regrets and apology for the building that was demolished in the Nigerian High Commission premises in Accra”
“The Ministry therefore pleads with Nigerians home and abroad to stay calm on the matter as the Federal Government is diligently insisting the Ghanaian authorities make restitution.
The spokesman for the Ministry also mentioned that some suspects have been arrested.
