Just In: FG Shutdown Twitter

The Federal Government of Nigeria led by Buhari has shutdown social media giant, Twitter.

Lots of speculation about the shutdown of the internet has been going on  for the past few days after protests against police brutality sprung up in different part of the nation.

The youths demanded a rogue unit of the police force be scrapped and the police should be reformed. 

The protests has gathered supports from international footballers, influencers and celebrities including the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey lending a hand in support of the protests.

Worldwide hackers collective, Anonymous also issued a 72-hours threat to the Nigerian Government after it leaked its police force databases, noting that the government should bow to pressure of the youths and their demand should be heard.
