Just In: Google To Invest $10 Billion In India
US tech giant, Google has announced it will invest $10 billion over the next five to seven years to accelerate India’s transition to a digital economy. India is expected to hit 650 million internet users this year.
In a digital keynote at a Google for India event, CEO of Alphabet In and its subsidiary Google, Sundar Pichai announced the launch of the Google for India Digitalization Fund, designed to increase the company’s investments in one of its biggest growth markets.
Pichai gave note of the new technology development; “Our goal is to ensure India not only benefits from the next wave of innovation but leads it”.
