JUST IN: Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu Tests Positive For COVID-19
The 63-year-old Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredelo, has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
He announced this today 30th June, at a press conference in Akure, the state capital.
He said he is asymptomatic but he will go for self isolation regardless.
He said,
”I had malaria a few days ago and was treated. I did get over it and as at the time we had our party NEC and my colleagues called on me, I spoke with one of them who felt that malaria shouldn’t be treated lightly but that I should go ahead and have a test for COVID19.”
“The result come out today June 30 and I tested positive.”
“I am asymptommatic. I am not feeling sick nor feeling hot in anyway but my doctors have decided I should take the normal treatment and self isolate. I beleieve that supervised home management will be ideal for me for now and so from now I will be isolated and go on with the supervised home management.”
