The protesters, who were physically assaulted before their eventual arrest at the Unity Fountain area in Abuja, has been reported to be released after being detained for several hours at the Eagles Square.
Many of the protesters said that the security operatives stole their mobile phones and wallets containing cash.
Meanwhile, scores of peaceful protesters in 11 states have been detained and degraded of their fundamental human rights.
Pictures of the Nigerian Police, Nigerian Army and other officials were seen circulating social media as they arrest peaceful protesters of the #RevolutionNow.
