Police Arrest Suspects In Connection With Pop Smoke Death
The 20-year-old was shot dead in a suspected robbery in February.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said Three men and two under the age of 18 are in custody.
The statement by the LAPD Read; “LAPD have arrested three males and two juvenile males related to the February 19th murder of Bashar Jackson, a New York based rapper known as Pop Smoke. We will provide further details as they become available”.
The LAPD arrested and identified the three adults suspected to have a hand in the death of the rapper on Thursday 9 July 2020 as Corey Walker, 19, and Keandre Rodgers, 18, who are charged with murder, and 21-year-old Jaquan Murphy, charged with attempted murder.
Pop Smoke’s posthumous debut album was released last week, and fans told Radio 1 Newsbeat the rapper had left them “something special”.
