Research Says VHH Antibodies In Llama Could Help Combat The Novel Coronavirus.

Studies from various science research institutions proposes that VHH quarantined from a llama could help in the fight against coronavirus.

According to experts, coronavirus makes use of a large envelope protein known as spike (S) which allows the virus to break into host cells. Series of tests have shown that this antibody acts as a barricade to viruses that exhibits the (S) protein from infecting cells in culture.

The VHH antibodies is also said to be the first that neutralizes both SARS-CoV-1 and the SARS-CoV-2{that is responsible for the COVID-19}  pseudotyped viruses. COVID-19 is caused by a type of coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. If this studies leads to a valid solution to COVID-19, it will be a big relief to the world.
