President Muhamadu Buhari has expressed worry over the rising spate of insecurity in Nigeria.

Speaking at the meeting held on Thursday, June 18 with Service Chiefs at the State House, the President said that he will no longer tolerate the worsening security situation in the country.

At the end of the security breifing, the National Security Adviser, NSA, Major General Babagana retd, spoke to State House correspondents on the outcome of the meeting, He stated that the “President has expressed great concern over the declining security situation in the country.

“He is extremely unhappy about what is happening and he feels that even though the security agencies are doing their best, their best is not good enough for him and he wants an immediate reversal of the current trend”. He continued saying.

According to the NSA, the President told the security chiefs that they were not imposed on him, and that it was therefore up to them to prove themselves worthy of their positions.

The President demanded a justification for their continuous stay in office as the heads of security agencies as he expressed anger at their less than satisfactory performance so far and that he will no longer accept further escalation in insecurity in the country, which has led to protests, especially in the northwest.
