BREAKING: Crisis Deepens in Ondo Assembly As Majority Leader Resigns
Jamiu Maito, the majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, has resigned.
His letter of resignation was read today, Wednesday 8th July, by Bode Adeyelu, the Clerk of the House, during the plenary session.
The legislature has been in crisis over the impeachment process of Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on 21st June
After the defection, the plot to remove him from office has heightened. On Tuesday, the APC national leadership referred to Ajayi as “former deputy governor”
