The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, as chairman of the Edo State governorship Campaign Council.
The party also appointed his Adamawa State Governor, Umar Fintri, as the Deputy Chairman of the Campaign Council.
This was revealed yesterday by PDP national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, after a meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.
The PDP candidate in the governorship election, Godwin Obaseki, won the primary election unopposed after his fellow aspirants stepped down for him.
Also, the party said it would announce the names of other members of the campaign council later.
