In a recent interview with Lex Fridman, former US President Donald Trump shared a candid moment about his social media habits, admitting that he occasionally regrets some of his posts on Truth Social, the platform he co-founded in 2021.

When asked if he ever second-guesses his more controversial content, Trump acknowledged that while he does have some regrets, they are rare. “It’s only every once in a while,” he explained, indicating that he’s mostly confident in the posts he crafts himself.

Trump revealed that his primary source of regret comes from reposting others’ thoughts, which sometimes land him in trouble due to the affiliations of the original posters. However, he emphasized that he stands by the overall direction of his platform and the “powerful truths” it conveys.

Despite his confidence in his posts, one recent re-share has sparked backlash. The post featured Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton with a controversial caption that alluded to a long-standing conservative attack against Vice President Harris. Trump might be rethinking this particular post, but he has not publicly commented on it.

Throughout the interview, Trump praised the success of Truth Social, describing it as his “typewriter” and revealing that he sometimes posts from bed. While he may have occasional regrets, Trump remains committed to his platform and its mission to share “powerful truths” with his audience.
