Following the ruling by the Court of Appeal Abuja, which upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomole on Tuesday, June 16, Victor Giadom, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC has declared himself the acting National Chairman of the party .
Earlier on, Lanre Issa-Onilu, National Publicity Secretary of the party, announced the Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, Deputy National Chairman (South), as the Acting National Chairman.
This morning, Giadom said his action was in accordance to a court ruling which was given on 16th March. According to him, the rule ordered he takes over from Adams Oshiomole who was earlier suspended by a court ruling on 4th March. Sen. Giadom explained that he wasn’t able to assume office at the time because Adams Oshiomole had filed an appeal and got temporary reprieve.
He informed the public that he has assumed office as Acting National Chairman of the party in compliance with the order of the court.
He announced the cancelation of the decision of the screening committee on the Edo Governorship primary election. He asked all the six aspirants for Edo State Governorship to report at the party Secretariat for a fresh screening on Wednesday and Thursday.
He also announced Deputy National organizing Secretary, Hon. Muhammad Sani Ibrahim as the National Organising Secretary.
