Mr Agboola Ajayi, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State on Sunday June 21 tendered his resignation of membership from the All Progressives Congress APC.
The deed was done at Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo Local Government Area, and was there given a PDP membership card by the Party executives and Chairman, Mr Festus Oboro.
The resignation of the Deputy Governor followed an incident that took place on Saturday in the Government House where the Security officials prevented the Deputy Governor from the leaving the premises in government vehicles.
Mr Ajayi declared that although he had resigned from the party, has not resigned from his position and duty as the Deputy Governor of the State, stating clearly that he was voted into the office by the people and has not been ask to step down by the people who voted him in.
