Fire Engulfs Radio Nigeria Lagos Office (Video)
A fire outbreak struck the Radio Nigeria office in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday, November 27, engulfing the studio section of the one-story building around 5:30 p.m.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident on its official X account, urging motorists to avoid the area as emergency responders worked to control the blaze. LASTMA stated, “Radio Nigeria is on fire while firefighters are already on the ground to put out the fire. Meanwhile, all roads have been blocked for motorists; please use alternative routes.”
Firefighters from the Dolphin, Ebute Elefun, and Oba Oniru Fire Stations, alongside the Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Police Force, and other emergency teams, swiftly responded to the scene.
Although the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
Thankfully, no casualties have been reported as of now.
