Tragedy has struck the family of former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, as her only son, Richard, passed away at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja on Sunday, October 6. According to DailyTrust, Richard had been hospitalized and was placed on oxygen in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Friday night, October 4, but unfortunately, the cause of his death remains unknown ¹.
Richard’s alma mater, Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), confirmed the sad news on their social media platform, stating that he died after a brief illness. In a heartfelt post on Facebook, VOBA expressed their condolences, saying, “On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen. Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, may perpetual light shine upon him. May the soul of Richard and all departed VOBA members RIP. Amen.”
