Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Denied Bail for the Third Time Ahead of S3x Trafficking Trial

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 55-year-old former hip-hop mogul, has been denied bail for a third time as he awaits his May 2025 trial on charges of racketeering, s3x trafficking, and transportation for pr0stitution—allegations he vehemently denies.

The decision, issued on Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, followed a bail hearing last week during which Combs’ legal team proposed a $50 million bail package, including 24/7 house arrest and using his mother’s home as collateral. However, the judge ruled that no conditions could sufficiently guarantee public safety or prevent witness tampering.

In his written ruling, Subramanian highlighted “compelling evidence of Combs’ propensity for violence” and cited a 2016 hotel surveillance video showing him assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassie as direct proof of his history of violence. Additionally, prosecutors presented evidence of witness tampering, alleging Combs used inmate phone access codes to make unauthorized three-way calls to unapproved contacts.

The judge further noted that Combs violated communication rules while in custody and emphasized the risk he poses to the community. Prosecutors have consistently argued that the Bad Boy Records founder remains a danger if released, a position upheld by two previous judges.

Combs remains detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he prepares for his trial.
